Judging Righteously: Are Christians Supposed To Judge?

This is without a doubt the most common misconception and for myself one of the more frustrating examples of scripture being taken out of context. If you don’t already know, you cannot pluck out any verse you want from the Bible and apply it to whatever it is you are talking about. You must understand the context in which the verse you are reading is being used. Because so many people take verses out of context and blindly apply it to everything, there is an abundance of inaccurate teachings going around. The misconception I am focusing on today derives from Matthew 7:1, “Judge not, that ye be not judged”.

The Truth About Biblical Angels

If I ask you to envision in your mind what an angel looks like, you would most likely think of glowing heavenly beings whose appearance is in human form. Much like many of the artistic renderings portrayed in paintings throughout time. Kind and attractive, with white wings, topped with halos and carrying a harp in one hand. These are the images that come to the mind of most people if you ask them to describe angels, and it is completely inaccurate. Scripture describes to us the different types of angels and gives us a glimpse into their appearance and most people would be shocked at what the Bible says about angels.

The Insidious Impossible Whopper

You have probably heard by now that Burger King has come out with a new burger they are calling the Impossible Whopper and everyone should be concerned. I am not just talking about the unhealthy repercussions that fast food can have on the human body. What Burger King is doing with their new Impossible Whopper could be far more insidious than that.

What Sobriety Has Taught Me Thus Far

It seems like a lifetime ago that I was leading the life of an opiate addict. My life revolved around figuring out ways to keep the anguish of withdrawal at bay. During my addiction, I convinced myself of all the ways sobriety would absolutely suck. I had this idea in my mind that sobriety meant agreeing to live a life that was unexciting and uninteresting; Therefore, it meant being miserable. I am pretty sure that every addict has their own warped interpretation of what sober living means to them and I was no exception to the rule.

The Truth About Sleep Paralysis: Alien And Demonic Encounters

People are jumping on board with this idea that these higher beings will be the world’s “savior”, protecting us from our own self-destruction or preventing an apocalyptic event. Getting people to believe this is Satan’s ultimate agenda. It makes sense that Satan would reinforce this because we know he wants to exalt himself, and if people are worshipping these higher beings considering these aliens to be their  “saviors” he has succeeded in putting himself in place of our true Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to those who fall for the deception.

The Plans Of Your Enemy The Devil

By now you should realize that you have a lifelong enemy; Satan. Every day when you wake up, you are entering a spiritual battle, the battle for your soul. Satan would love nothing more than to ensure that you remain unaware, unprepared, and deceived. Once you realize this, you will begin to recognize his evil works in your daily life. There are no limits to how far he will go or how low he will stoop to walk out his evil plans that are specifically devised for you.

Why I Don’t Make New Year’s Resolutions

The beginning of a new year and the closing out of the previous one. Like most people, the arrival of a new year brings to mind the reflection of the past 12 months. Memories, lessons learned and things we would prefer to forget altogether. This is the time of year when most people plot out the changes they wish to make within themselves or in their life.

Godly Love vs Worldly Love

This is perhaps the most common topic and characteristic of God that people like to alter. Whether by misinterpretation of scripture or willingly deciding to justify sin in relation to God’s love, both are disastrous. There seems to be a popular mix up between God’s love and acceptance. When exposing a person’s sin, the most frequently spoken reputable said is how God is love and because he is love, he accepts everyone just the way they are. Certainly not!

Paranormal Investigating: Are You Bringing Home Demonic Spirits?

Let’s get one thing straight, the name of Jesus is not some magic word anyone can pull out and expect divine protection while continually sinning against God. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that a non-believer can’t call out the name of Jesus and experience his power. I absolutely believe that can and will happen. The defining factor is whether the person calling out the name of Jesus is doing it from a sincere heart or using it as some magical incantation.

Self Medicating Myself Right Into A Heroin Addiction

How did the choice of self medicating lead to my heroin addiction? It all started with a desperate attempt and last-ditch effort to escape what I could not handle. The persistence of my clinical depression and bipolar disorder completely hijacked my life. I sought professional help, antidepressants, therapy and all the self-help books I could stomach. Year after year, it […]

Book of Genesis: Fallen Angels and Nephilim Giants

One common topic that seems to be deliberately left out of Sunday sermons and Wednesday Night Bible studies is the subject of the spiritual realm. Could it be that preachers just don’t believe it, or do they avoid it because they themselves do not understand it? The Bible is full of examples of the spiritual aspect of life, with mention of things like angels, demons, strongholds, healing, and deliverance. How is it that these extraordinary details are being skimmed over or left out altogether? I want to focus on these things in this series of blog posts because I believe it is the missing link that connects many biblical topics and events.
