 Dangerous Prayers That Move God

I want to preface this post with somewhat of a warning to the readers. The prayers I will go over in this article are only meant for those individuals who, with a sincere heart, desire to be aligned with God’s will. For those who will surrender their life as a living sacrifice to The Father. If you struggle in areas involving your faith in God, or your capacity to trust Him, I would advise you not to proceed any further. First, establish your relationship with the Lord. Examine your heart and the substance of your faith to ensure that you will stand firm and confident as God moves in your life in response to these prayers we are going to get into.

Now, for those who with a pure heart that seek to be aligned with the will of The Father. Those of you who will put your entire trust in Him, recognizing that whatever God has planned for your life is far better than anything you could imagine. To those individuals who realize that our life here is but for a season, and we are called to fulfill the purpose of the Lord and not to live to fulfill our own selfish desires. Knowing positively that our joy comes from walking in the fullness of the Holy Spirit and fulfilling the calling God has appointed us to fulfill. If that is you, these dangerous prayers will, without a doubt, invite God into your life, allowing Him to make room to bring forth His perfect plan and purpose for you. This will not be easy. The outcome of these prayers may test your faith more than it has ever been tested. I call these prayers dangerous prayers because they are powerful and require complete surrender. These prayers will force you to grab onto the hand of God, lean not on your own understanding, and with everything in you to trust, trust, trust in Him.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.Ephesians 2: 8-10

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12: 1-2

1. God, I Ask You To Expose ALL Lies And Deceptions

Sounds simple enough and not all that dangerous, right? Wrong! The scriptures tell us that our heart is deceptively wicked above all things, which means it is quite easy for us to allow our own heart or our emotions to lie to us. Sometimes we want something to be true so badly that we convince ourselves that it is when it really isn’t. When we ask God to expose that which is a lie so that we will not be deceived, God will do exactly that. See God is truth, He is light and in Him there is no darkness at all, and it is that very light in Him that will shine upon and expose what is contrary to Him. God is not a man that He should lie, because of this God in His Holiness will not back a lie. Nor will He allow His people to be deceived if they truly seek His face with pure intentions to know the truth for the purpose of not being led astray in any given situation.

This means that God will bring to light any lies or deceptions that are manipulating you. As we know, the truth isn’t always pretty, and it can often be quite shockingly painful. But in truth, there is freedom and liberation from the lies and deception operating somewhat like a spell over us. The truth of a matter will bring forth clarity and fix your vision. Yes, the truth might blindside you. It may shake your foundation, and it may change your perception of a person, belief, or situation. However, you must ask yourself, do you want to live under the constraints of a lie? It is the truth that gives us, as believers, the power to cast down strongholds the enemy has constructed in our minds. Once the truth is revealed, the strongholds can be demolished, and we can evict the enemy, taking away the legal right that was giving him the power and permission to operate.

Believers are supposed to have a love for the truth, and this love for the truth is not situational. God will allow you to remain under a lie or deception if you choose to reject the truth because you have the free will to do so. However, that is not what God desires for you. All lies, no matter how big or small, originate from the father of lies himself, Satan. These lies then create spiritual strongholds and bondage, keeping you a slave to Satan. Jesus has come to set the captives free. Hallelujah! Deception and manipulation are blatant forms of witchcraft and sorcery, and it is something that God will never condone. Ask God to expose the spirits operating behind a person, belief, or situation, ask Him to expose the assignment of the enemy, and He will.

2. God, Remove What Is Pulling Me Away From You

I will go out on a limb and say that this must be one of God’s favorite prayers to answer from His children. Why? Because everyone I know who has prayed this dangerous prayer, including myself, will testify that God answers this prayer with NO DELAY, almost instantly. I am not joking when I tell you that God will quickly and efficiently uproot and displace any person, thing, ideology, or situation in your life that is pulling you away from Him or your calling. Remember, our God is a jealous God, and it is He who commands us to have no other gods. When we hear that command, usually what comes to mind is often some statue of a various god from some foreign religion. However, we can make anything into an idol. A person, a job, an interest, a belief, literally anything that we exalt above God is, in-fact a god, an idol.

God’s people are called to be set apart, to not be conformed to this world, to walk in the Spirit, and to not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. This is going to be difficult if you are messing around in an environment you don’t belong in or in the company of people who are walking in consistent rebellion towards God. We sometimes forget that people never come into our presence alone. They are either coming with the presence of the Holy Spirit or demonic spirits. It doesn’t matter how much you enjoy the company of a co-worker, family member, or friend. If that person is pulling you away from God, enticing you to sin, or toxic to your overall spiritual well-being, you will experience the prompting of the Holy Spirit warning you. This will be yet another time you will have to make a decision that isn’t always easy to make. This requires an honest self-examination of your own heart, your relationship with the Lord, and being truthful with yourself about your situation as you discern God’s leading. Ask yourself if you have fallen back into sin, have you been neglecting your relationship with The Lord since allowing certain people in your life? God doesn’t want His children to be re-enslaved to the things they were delivered from, nor does He want us to go backward. Just as God can send us people to encourage and advance our walk and calling, Satan will send counterfeits to do the exact opposite. These people will be a distraction, pulling you away from the Lord and your calling, often bringing about confusion and chaos in your life.

I have had conversations with fellow believers on the other end of the phone, sobbing in shock at how quickly God responded to this specific prayer to intervene, removing the things that were pulling them away from Him. Things that were not in accordance with God’s will for that individual. But a common thing I noticed was deep within them, these individuals knew God was doing the right thing for them. One believer even stated that she was relieved that God did what she did not have the strength to do in and of herself by removing a person in her life.

We rarely realize the power of prayer, and it is imperative we consider what we are praying for rather than just shooting off our mouths in ignorance like we sometimes can do. Prayer invites God into our situation, and we can never presume to know how God will go about answering our prayers. In most cases, you discover God has His own way of doing things that far exceed our understanding. This is why firm faith is required when praying these kinds of prayers.

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

Jude 1:21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life

1 Corinthians 15:33-34 Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.” Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.

3. God, Change The Desires Of My Heart

Just because we desire a thing doesn’t mean that God desires it for us. Quite frankly, we regularly want things that are not beneficial to our spiritual health because our desires originate in our flesh. In ignorance, we suppose we know why we desire something and that our motives are pure. We can wrongly assume we have thoroughly calculated the cost and have found ourselves capable of paying it when that isn’t actually the truth. Yet, many times, it is the very thing we covet the most that can lead to our greatest downfall. It’s kind of like those true life stories you hear about when someone finally wins the lottery, yet it completely destroys their life, sometimes even unto death. Let’s be honest, as humans, we can often have our hearts set on things we know deep down are no good for us, yet it doesn’t change the fact that something within us still desires it. This is why we need to ask God to align our desires with His, so we no longer covet the very thing He is protecting us from.

When God reveals to you He wants you to let go of a sin or anything in your life that is not pleasing to Him, it doesn’t mean it will be easy to let go. But once God gives you that revelation, you can take it to prayer and ask Him to remove your desire for anything He wants you to let go of. Praying this one time will not be efficient enough. This is something that we need to constantly be petitioning for at the throne. Asking God to renew your mind and change the desires of your heart so that you will desire the things that are in accordance with His will. Being confident that when you ask things that are according to His will, not asking amiss that He is faithful to provide it.

As we abide in the presence of The Lord and study His word, allowing it to take root and renew our minds, a shift will take place within us. There are numerous things that I used to be drawn to and interested in that I feel completely indifferent about now. The Holy Spirit within you will draw you towards the things of God and away from things you once desired before coming to Christ. This move of the Holy Spirit is so powerful. If you allow yourself to be led by the Spirit, things that you may currently battle against will begin to fall off of you as God uproots those desires that are not pleasing in His sight. There is no power quite like the power God has to turn the hearts of man towards Him and His will.

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?

Psalm 119:130 The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.

Proverbs 2:5-7  Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;

If It Ain’t From You God, I Don’t Want It

If you haven’t already noticed, the theme of these prayers is centered on God’s will and trusting in His sovereignty and wisdom as a good Father to know what is best for us. Though many times we wrestle with understanding the reasons God does or doesn’t want certain things, people, or opportunities in our life, we must trust in who He has proven Himself to be. We are unable because of the limitations of our human nature to understand why God does the things He does. But that’s what’s so great about having an ever-present God whom we can have a personal prayerful relationship with. We can go to Him and bring all our questions and concerns. He is patient with us when we are striving to walk in obedience to His will. Many believers desire to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, desiring to see transformation, blessings, and deliverance. Yet very few are willing to surrender themselves to The Lord in obedience rooted in faith, allowing God to have His way. God rewards those who surrender themselves fully to Him in seeking Him and His will. His favor will be upon you, seeing that your heart is devoted to Him and Him alone.

I recommend when seeking God for revelation and understanding, to fast because it will silence and bring under submission the loudness of the flesh. It will quiet the thoughts, doubts, confusion, and distractions that are constantly contending with the Holy Spirit within us. The best way I can describe what fasting does is it clears the airways between you and God. It diminishes the static that we often try to hear through and allows us to have a clear connection to The Father to receive what it is He is trying to reveal to us. Fasting increases our ability to be spiritually sensitive, allowing for us to discern and see into the spirit things we would otherwise completely miss.

Fasting is a great way to attain spiritual clarity on a specific matter. Understand when I say fasting, I am not saying to just abstain from food and go on about your daily life as per usual. Fasting goes hand in hand with diligently seeking the face of God. This means you devote all of your time that is not designated to your daily responsibilities to being in His presence.

Remember, God’s ways are not our ways and this walk with The Lord can be difficult if you do not first have a genuine understanding of who God is. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. If we trust Jesus to be our Lord and Savior, then we also trust that He knows what He is doing. He is the author and finisher of our faith. Don’t get stuck questioning God’s ways. Remember, Satan beguiled Eve by causing her to question God. She questioned His motives, His words, and His character. Don’t let the enemy cause you to fall into the same trap. Be okay with sometimes not knowing anything other than God is good, loving, holy, righteous, and just. We always want answers and God will give us only what is necessary, but anything more than that, He will want us to walk it out in faith. Don’t be afraid to allow God to rearrange your life to make right the wrongs you may have made along the way.

If God eliminates an opportunity from you, then trust that it was not where God wanted you to be in this season. If He removes people from your life, remember He knows what’s around the corner that you cannot see. He sees and hears conversations people had in your absence. God knows when someone will be a detriment to your spiritual life and your walk with Him. We can trust Him because we know God’s eyes are upon the righteous, and He works out everything for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

Sometimes we hang on so tightly to something the Lord wants us to let go of and in our mind we consider it a loss. But how can we receive what better things God has for us if we don’t first let go of our grip on the things He wants to remove? Letting go means freeing our hands to be open to receive what God has for us. I can promise you what God has for you is far better than what you are hanging onto or forcing to be something it was never meant to be. As you leave behind the life you lived before coming to Christ and allow the process of regeneration to take hold of you, God will open your eyes to the things He wants you to no longer take part in. This can be anything from a certain career choice to relationships, environments you once frequented, or what you do with your time in general. There should be nothing off limits to God when you decide to follow Him. I don’t know about you, but I find great relief and assurance in knowing the Creator of all things is the one leading my life.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Psalm 64:10 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.

Hebrews 12:2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
